The Global Health eLearning Center is pleased to offer this course on Logistics for Health Commodities. Learners who take this course will be oriented to key concepts in supply chain logistics for health commodities, and basic principles of logistics. This course covers topics such as:

  • Data needed to forecast health commodity requirements

  • A Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) and its importance in logistics

  • USAID's Central Contraceptive Procurement System

  • Ways program managers can support the logistics system

  

 

This course highlights key ways to determine logistics system performance, such as stock quality and reporting speed, and clearly identifies strategies for continuous improvement of supply chain systems.
