Rafael Ávila Medical/Graphic Illustrator Rafael Ávila was born in São Paulo, Brazil, majored in Illustration and Fine Art Drawing, and earned his BFA from the Maryland Institute. He has done work for editorial, healthcare and advertising markets. He has been with Population Reports since 2003, and some of his recent publications include "Measuring Success of a Continuing-Client Strategy", "Key Facts about the Menstrual Cycle, "Developing a Continuing-Client Strategy", "Family Planning: A Global Handbook for Providers, and many more. |

Stephen M. Goldstein Webmaster, INFO Stephen Goldstein is Webmaster for the INFO Project at the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs where he has worked since 1991. Mr. Goldstein led INFO's effort to create the www.fpandhiv.org web site, and worked with the USAID FP/HIV Integration Partners working group to design and organize the site. For the past three years, as Chief of INFO's Publications Division, Mr. Goldstein managed a series of publications for the INFO Project including Global Health Technical Briefs, INFO Reports, and Population Reports. In the late 90s, Mr. Goldstein was in charge of publishing the Essentials of Contraceptive Technology handbook. Initially, Mr. Goldstein worked as Associate and then Managing Editor for Population Reports, the project's flagship journal, for which he coordinated production, dissemination, and promotion. As Webmaster, Mr. Goldstein works with INFO's IT partner, Constella Group and is based in Rockville, Maryland. |

Deborah Hall Secretary III Deborah Hall provides administrative support to the editor and research/writing staff of Population Reports, as well as acts as administrative liaison to external writers. Manage the production of manuscript external review process and provide back-up administrative assistance to the Information & Knowledge for Optimal Health (INFO) Project Project Director. |

Mónica Jiménez Bilingual Production Coordinator Mónica Jiménez a native from Peru, started working for PIP (now INFO Project) in 2000. Currently she is a Bilingual Production Coordinator helping in the translation, proofreading, and production of Population Reports, INFO Reports, and other INFO Publications for print and web. Monica earned a BS in Information Technology from the Johns Hopkins University in 2004. Monica has also earned a degree in Interior Design from Catonsville Community College in May of 2000. |

Robert Lande Researcher/Writer Robert Lande, Researcher/Writer for Population Reports, has worked for over 20 years in population and family planning as a writer and editor. He has written issues of Population Reports on performance improvement, injectables, financing family planning programs, sexually transmitted diseases, and pharmacists, and he worked on the revision of The Essentials of Contraceptive Technology. Previously he was an editor and writer for JHPIEGO and a project editor at the Population Council working mainly on Studies in Family Planning. Between 1996 and 2000 he was managing editor for the Carnegie Commission on Preventing Deadly Conflict and communications manager for Commercial Market Strategies. He has a BA from Dartmouth College. |

Theresa C. Norton, MBA
Associate Editor
Theresa C. Norton has over 25 years of experience in publications development and information technology. As Associate Editor on the INFO Project, she manages research, writing, editing, and production of reproductive health print and electronic publications. She also serves as liaison between knowledge communities and information technology staff in development of on-line information resources for communities. Ms. Norton has disseminated reproductive health information electronically at Johns Hopkins for over 11 years, and was the original developer of the ReproLine Web site (www.reproline.jhu.edu), a key electronic product of the Johns Hopkins’ affiliate, JHPIEGO. Ms. Norton’s writing experience has ranged from technical writing for software products to freelance writing on educational technology for journal and book publication. |

Catherine (Katie) Richey, MPH Sr. Technical Writer Katie Richey began working for the INFO Project in 2003. She authored the Population Reports issues, "Expanding Services for Injectables" and "Family Planning Choices for Women With HIV," and is currently preparing "Elements in Successful Family Planning Programming." Prior to joining INFO, Katie worked in Uttaranchal, India, as a Research Fellow for the Rural Development Institute. Her research interests include reproductive health, contraceptive technology, and medical anthropology. Katie earned a BA in Anthropology from Vassar College in 2002 and a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in May 2006. |

Linda D. Sadler
Sr. Graphic Designer Linda Sadler has worked for forty years in printing and graphic design, twenty of them with USAID publications here at CCP. In addition to English and foreign language versions of Population Reports and INFO Reports, she has also designed posters, wall charts, and other supplemental materials. Linda is a classical singer, performing regularly with the Baltimore Masterworks Chorale, the JHU Choral Society, and the Bach Concert Choir. |

Ruwaida Salem, MPH Researcher/Writer Ruwaida Salem began her work at Population Reports in 2002 after graduating from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has authored several Population Reports issues, including "New Attention to the IUD," "Mens' Surveys: New Findings," and "Meeting the Urban Challenge," as well as the INFO Reports issue, "World Health Organization Updates Guidance on How To Use Contraceptives." Her research interests include population dynamics, gender issues, and contraceptive technology. Previously she worked at Birzeit University's Institute of Community and Public Health in the West Bank as a Research Assistant, where she was involved in planning, implementing, and analyzing results of research studies on various reproductive health issues. |

Vidya Setty, MPH, MBA Associate Editor Vidya Setty has been working in the international reproductive health field for nearly ten years. She has been researching and writing for Population Reports since 2000 after graduating from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Ms. Setty has authored several Population Reports including Family Planning Choices for Women With HIV; When Contraceptives Change Monthly Bleeding; Better Breastfeeding, Healthier Lives; and Birth Spacing: Three to Five Saves Lives. She also develops the innovative Contraceptive Myths and Counseling Messages Database, a tool for health care providers to communicate accurate and evidence-based information to clients. Prior to CCP, Ms. Setty worked at Population Connection advocating women's reproductive health issues. She has a BS in Biology, and has worked as a volunteer in Bolivia, Brazil, and India. |
