CONDOMS

  • Can prevent both pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV/AIDS when used correctly and consistently.
  • When condoms are needed to prevent STIs/AIDS, many couples use them along with other family planning methods.
  • Easy to use with a little practice.
  • Effective if used correctly every time. However, usually only somewhat effective because some men do not use condoms all the time.
  • Some people object that condoms interrupt sex, reduce sensation, or embarrass them.
